Disregarding Hilary, Regarding Rose

I'm sure many of you have seen the latest media coverage about the elderly woman who was accosted by what appeared to be a black male. This man savagely punched and knocked down a 101 year old woman for $33. This same person is believed to have mugged an 85 year old woman for merely $32. Attacks like the one on 101 year old Rose Morat are simply sickening. So this brings me to something I gave quite a lot of thought to late last night. The Evolution of Man.

Man begins being raised by his parent or parents, have they not become a ward of the state first. In the beginning, parents are supposed instill morals and values and discipline their child so that they will become a well rounded individual. This is where the first major failure occurs. Parents do not pay their children enough attention and do not properly discipline them. From here children enter school and begin to learn about societal values and educational values. As the child becomes more aware of his or her self as an individual they begin to place values on things such as homework, sports, good grades, toys, etc. They are beginning to learn. Now we have a joint operation between educator and parent to mold this young mind and continue sculpting a well rounded educated individual. But alas here again failure ensues at certain levels amongst a high rate of individuals. Some educators give it their all while some merely show up to put in their time and have that"I'm not here to babysit your children" mentality. To these educators I say: "You're wrong, not just wrong but DEAD wrong." Your job is to insure that not only does my child receive the proper attention and education they are their to receive, but your job is as well to establish a personable, agreeable bond with these children so that they properly respond to you and in doing so their performance reflects upon it. I'd be rich if i had a nickel for every "evil wicked teacher" story I've heard. Moving on to the next phase in life, as these children become teenagers, society becomes more of an ever present influence with the aide of mass media such as television, clothing and fashion ads, teen magazines etc. as well as young friendships and young relationships. Then our child graduates into the big wide world of confusion and chaos. High school is over. Now its time to pursue a college education, a career and they take with them the basics of politics they have learned in high school. These young adults begin to foster their own political beliefs, albeit mostly based on that of their parents' beliefs but not entirely. These young adults begin to participate in elections at the age of 18.Now our politicians are picking up where parents and educators left off. Some may call this a leap, but I can't see how. I see it as natural progression of influences. Politicians carry the torch at this point because they represent us, they are responsible for upholding some of our morals and values (Or at least that's what's supposed to occur but often we find it's not the case) and it's why we choose to elect them. They are supposed to provide leadership and guidance.

So to recap the natural progression of influences, in my opinion works like this:
  1. Parents
  2. Educators
  3. Society at large (Friends, Relationships, Mass media Etc.)
  4. Politicians

You learn first how to walk , talk and eat, then the who what when where why and how, then the what's in and what's out, then the who I'm for and who I'm against and who best represents me.

Now that we have this established I move further on to a press conference held by Senator Hillary Clinton Rep D NY. And this is where I get aggravated. It's no big secret that I hold very little respect for Senator Clinton. senator Clinton holds a press conference to convey her dismay at the mugging incident involving 101 year old Rose Morat. It was a terrible thing to have happened, this mugging incident....but then a politician, who happens to be a candidate for the presidential election in 2008, decides to use this incident as part of political maneuvering to garner votes. I am running for president, I feel sorry for Rose, I am compassionate, vote for me. So now we have a perfect example of how politicans choose to cast thier influences, and in this case fairly poorly.

Hillary, your tactics disgust me. First you ignore the indiscretions of your presidential husband in front of the entire country and then stand at his side and support his philandering ways., then you purchase property in a state you've never lived to run for the senate to represent a people that you know nothing about, you aren't one of them, you can't possibly accurately or fairly represent them, that's like my going to England and running for office. To top it off you then recently hold a press conference comparing yourself being a female candidate to John F. Kennedy's being a Catholic....ARE YOU INSANE? You have accomplished NOTHING politically to compare yourself to that of John F. Kennedy. The only thing I seem to have seen you accomplish is trying to portray yourself as a worthy FEMALE candidate trying to garner the FEMALE vote. How can you honestly expect to garner the majority female vote after defending a man that broke your vows of marriage? You may collect the votes of some ultra hardcore man hating feminists, but that's probably going to be the gist of it. I hope Barack Obama wipes the floor with you in the Democratic primaries.
